A Day in the Life
Follow an Amazon DSP delivery driver through a typical day, from the morning routine to the final stop.
Exact times vary by station.Show Up for Stand Up Meeting
Arrive at the station, check in with the team, and attend the morning stand up meeting. Go over the day's expectations, route details, and any important updates before loadout begins.
Load Vans
Load packages into the van and organize them by route. Double-check that everything is accounted for and arranged so you can find what you need once you're out making deliveries.
Head Out on the Road
Pull out of the station and head toward the first stops. The route is officially underway, with navigation, traffic, neighborhoods, and the day's deliveries all ahead.
Midday Grind
Hundreds of stops can add up quickly. Keep moving, stay organized, and keep an eye on the route as the afternoon continues. Take a quick break when the route allows.
Peak Delivery Time
The afternoon rush is in full swing. Traffic can pick up, stops continue to stack up, and there are still plenty of packages waiting to reach their destinations.
Wrapping Up
Work through the final stretch of the route and finish the remaining deliveries. Once the last stops are complete, it's time to make your way back toward the station.
Heading Back to the Station
Head back to the station after completing the route. Bring back any remaining packages, return the van, and get everything ready for the closing process.
Closing Out
Finish up the end-of-day tasks, take care of any remaining packages, report issues from the route, and make sure everything is accounted for before clocking out.
Done for the Day
The van is back, the route is closed out, and the day's deliveries are finished. Clock out, head home, and enjoy the evening!
